What is Membrane Wrap?
Membrane Wrap is a readily available human tissue allograft derived from the amniotic membrane. It acts as a natural barrier and protective covering for wounds, supporting the healing process. This product is minimally manipulated to preserve the membrane’s inherent biological properties, while fully complying with FDA regulations.
Application
Membrane Wrap is supplied in a dry state and can be trimmed to fit the wound area using sterile scissors. Position the allograft directly on the wound site and hydrate it with sterile saline solution while in place. Secure the membrane with sutures, staples, or tissue adhesives as needed to maintain proper placement. It is recommended to use the graft within one hour after hydration to ensure optimal biological function and wound protection.
