CANCELLOUS CHIPS
CANCELLOUS GRANULES, 1-4MM (LYOPHILIZED)
- Bone Graft Material: Cancellous chips are derived from trabecular bone, making them an effective option for bone grafting procedures.
- Porous Structure: The porous nature of cancellous chips facilitates vascularization and bone ingrowth, promoting successful integration with the host bone.
- Biocompatibility: Cancellous chips are biocompatible and often sourced from human donors or processed bone, minimizing the risk of rejection and promoting healing.

What Is Cancellous Chips?
Cancellous chips are small, sponge-like bone fragments typically derived from the interior of bones, known as cancellous or trabecular bone. These chips are highly vascularized and rich in bone marrow, making them ideal for promoting new bone growth and healing. Commonly used in orthopedic and dental surgeries, cancellous chips can be utilized as graft materials to fill bone defects, enhance bone regeneration, and support the integration of implants.
Application
Ensure that all materials and instruments are sterile to maintain a safe environment. Gently open the packaging to avoid contamination, and use sterile forceps or a scoop to transfer the chips to the surgical site. If the chips require hydration, use a sterile saline solution or other approved sterile fluids, applying them directly to the cancellous chips before placement. For optimal integration, ensure that the chips are evenly distributed and in contact with the surrounding bone.
